Hemingway App makes your writing bold and clear.
Does the Hemmingway app make you a better writer or does it have a mind of its own? This is my experience.
I write a lot of blogs and am always looking for a better way. We all need to craft a better post knowing that Google has changed its way from exact match Keywords to reader intent.
My first attempt was with an AI writer ( Jasper.com) using the robots to fill in the words for me. The cost of this did not justify the effort to put together a relevant post.
Wealthy Affiliate has a blog template that many of my friends use but I do find it a bit restricting.
WordPress
WordPress has come a long way with the latest Block builder that I have come to love.
Everything is so easy once you get a bit of practice and use as many as the elements that suit your page.
It is easy to get a reading on your writing ability using Yoast where they rate every post.
It is hard for me to get a high mark because of my writing style and I use a lot of lists and tables.
This works well for blogging but not too good for creative writing
I struggled with positive sentences for some time but that can be overcome.
Spelling and grammar
I use all sorts of ways to get spelling and grammar working the way they should.
1) Grammarly
2) WordPress spell check
3) Even Yoast structure guide
4) finally a live audit of my work
Google gives a high rating to your content and does not like bad spelling. At all costs avoid it
Writing for Intent
This is a new problem we have as Keywords do not rank with Google anymore, more so reader intent.
I am overstepping the mark here so don't ignore keywords quite yet. Bing and Yahoo are still adhering to exact match Keywords. Those that appear throughout your page will also have an impact.
Artificial intelligence (AI) is now used to think about what the search query means and not what they say.
Blogs are usually answering questions and solving problems but do they relate to one of the following structures
Search Intent include
a) Informational,
b) Commercial,
c) Navigational
d) Transactional.
So the request gets bundled into one of these baskets.

When readers don't like you then it's all over
This sounds a bit dramatic but let me explain.
The query is to paint a bedroom wall and the answer says to Clean, paper, undercoat, and three top coats to get the job done. The searches think that is all too hard I will look somewhere else. They find that a quick coat of half gloss will cover all the problems.
When you get people ducking away from your page Google then downplays your answer, as good as it may be.
Therefore when a search asks for the best keyword tool they want access to a tool and not a diatribe on Keywords.
Plus when they want to buy a Gallon of paint they don't want a review of the best 10 paints on the market, they want to buy a Gallon of paint.
Make your heading fit your intent
This is a juggle about pleasing everyone, who ever said a writer's world was easy.
This post is informational but it has both internal and external links to other works. It also has a few pictures included to attract the passing eyeballs.
My thoughts on Hemmingway
First of all, it eliminates a lot of my superfluous descriptive words. I use the word a lot among others like However and when a simple but will do.
My score with Yoast spelling improved therefore I would say this is a positive result.
Conclusion
Using Hemmingway takes more effort and thus more time but the result is better if you follow the rules.
In general, it gets my tick of approval.
Google is looking for great content that it can direct search queries. Make it your content.
