Finding your mojo in a world of grey skies
We all suffer from Motivation wipe out. This is just a successful way of saying buck up big boy and wipe your eyes, it isn't over yet.
Feeling sorry for yourself has only one outcome and that is a victim mentality.
Why does everything happen to me!
Therefore lets make a plan of success
Before you scream let me get this simple process over the line.
If you don't know where you are going you can never get there.
A pretty simple thing to say however turn on your Navman and dial in a location.
We all have a passion of some kind so let's visualise a place in the sun, somewhere you want to be and will walk on hot coals to get there.
Your vision could be about anything, for example, I want to write 200 blog posts in a year.
It is not negotiable because that will complete a target that I set in the past.
All this sounds simple however I must set out a bit of a roadmap. If I have 365 days in a year and want 200 blog posts that is one every 1.8 days. A task almost out of my reach.
However, I need to stretch myself or there is nothing to gain.

Looking ahead
Unless you have a destination you have nothing on which to gauge your progress.
No distance, speed, pit stops, oil changes you are wandering blindly of the beaten road.
Motivation can be found in funny places, like a failure.
Accept failure as a stumbling block and not a dead end
In many cases that feeling of failure is simply self-doubt multiplied out. Think of a sporting team after a losing game. The winners are running around like there is no tomorrow and the losers sit and cry for all that wasted effort. Total devastation and shame for underachieving.
What happens next is to leave that loss behind and concentrate on the next game and a new chance to succeed and bathe in the glory.
If You never Know failure ———————– You will never know success
Yes, it is easier said than done however people just like you are failing every day, and besides they find recovery is an incentive to do better and not one to give up.
Steve Jobs of Apple fame was sacked from the company he started. Marched out the door never to come back. Well not exactly, the company then failed and pleaded with him to return. The rest is history.
Jeff Bezos one of the richest men in the world had a marriage failure that cost him a couple of Billion Dollars. Big money in anyone's pay packet. Now he is dating again and taking people on space flights for fun. He did not let losing a wife end his vision.
Elon Musk at one time was so close to bankruptcy that he went to Bill Gates to buy out the company. He had failed and could not even meet the payroll due in just a few days.
However what came next was extraordinary.
So shaken up was Elon at the thought of losing everything he made a plan.
Elon went back to Tesla headquarters and called in every manager and set them a task. They were to call anyone they knew and try to sell them a new car. They were given a telephone and instructions not to fail. Within a couple of days, they had made enough sales to refinance the company into a viable project and save the liquidation sale.
The result is now the most successful car on the market and Elon among the top 5 richest men in the world.

Self Worth should be looked at in a positive way
They say we are all born equal however some are born more equal than others.
As a white, Hetro male in a first-world country, I have no excuses to make. Others may pile reasons on their position in the world however no one looks, no one knows but you.
Self-worth is a personal thing, it is a position that only you can change and only if you want to.
I am no psych nor do I have professional qualifications to change people other than personal experience.
I was a high school dropout at fifteen years old. My story went to being chairman of two public companies listed on the stock exchange.
I knew I was better than my High school self and took action to change through hard work.
Self-worth is your image of yourself so why not make it a good one. Couple this up with a plan to achieve and accept small failures as learning experiences and you are on the way to success.
Motivation needs constant support
Using affirmations to seal the deal
If you tell yourself enough times how great you are, eventually, you will start to believe it.
The reverse is also very true. We see this all the time when someone is labeled bad they have no choice. What the heck the world believes I am rotten so I will be.
It is said that this is often done to children that subsequently carry the issue through life.
Having a written script and reading it allowed before retiring at night and in the morning will reinforce your values. You are convincing your inner self of the truth, that you are great and will achieve great things.
A picture board will help focus your vision
Many have a large board with pictures of all the things in life they want.
They look at the board and dream of completion and achieving all the things in life to make them happy. Not my cup of tea, however, we all have needs and wants.
I have a success motivator, something I will achieve over a given period of time. This is a money thing because money buys the other bits.
I concentrate each day on the most important thing first. My success goal. No one else is lining up to do it for me, if it is to be done then it is up to me.
Because I can't do just one thing at a time ( a failing) I have several ambitions to achieve.
All mapped out with a timeline and a result. Yep, it changes sometimes but that is just part of my journey.
My want list is something else, A new Tesla Y Plaid is top of the dream board.
Make your plans into positive outcomes and your self-esteem will skyrocket.
Motivation accepts rejection
Rejection is difficult to overcome or, is it?
This is often the lion slayer that sets us back and damages any self-esteem we were gaining.
However, it is only when you let it.
Perhaps you did not try hard enough or the gods thought it was not right for you or even that the other side was incompetent. There are many reasons for this and it will happen many times over your life so consider it just another stumbling block along the way.
One of my favorite stories is that of Michael Jordan. Tired of Basketball he decided to try Baseball but he failed. he could not use a Bat the way it had to be so he was dropped. Imagine the coach telling the great Michael Jordan he was not wanted on the team.
Failure, rejection, and self-esteem all take a battering.
Jordan did not give up. That bat never left his hand for weeks as he taught his muscles
to act in a way they never had before. He took coaching, advice and trained harder than anyone else to get back on the team.
He did not accept rejection, he accepted it as a lesson in life and resolved to overcome his deficiencies. Yes, he made it to the team and became a competent Batsman before returning to Basketball.
We all need a bit of passion to lift our game

People often ask me what they should write about as a blogger.
My answer is always something you are passionate about.
Most want instant income so the option is to follow the money trail however the light will quickly dim. Blogging is a long-term journey so unless you like what you are doing you will never survive the ride.
You need to have a passion to last the distance, do you have it?
Motivation is found in like-minded people.
Mixing with Like minded people
This is important because you need incentives found in comparisons. What do I mean by this?
If you run in a one-horse race there is no performance measurement. You are the fastest and the best by all standards.
I work from home and don't mix with a lot of people however I get my kick from a forum of like-minded people. Young, old, successful, and struggling even rick and pore. We compare each other's posts without making judgments however it gives a picture of the race we are in.
It provides the incentive to achieve at the top level and not be relegated to the bottom tier.
Some people do Networking meetings and others on industry groups it matters only that you have a Yardstick on which to measure your results against the other horses.
My conclusion to motivation is found in funny places
Every heading is a section related to all the others. You can't have a plan without comparisons. We need to operate with a passion to build our self-worth and to help us overcome the many stumbling blocks along the way
Your motivation will come from you, let no one stop it.

A very profound article. It’s as if I’m recovering from reading about the failures of the richest people. Now I’m stuck and I don’t know what to do. But you encouraged me to go through this sooner or later. I chose a niche that I am very passionate about. But I still don’t see concrete results and that discourages me. Thanks for posting.
Hi Carmen and thanks for reading.
We all get discouraged at times and it is remembering that a year is a short passage and
easy money does not come quickly.
Focus on the goal and ignore the bumps and hope like hell it all works out,
Best wishes
