Why must Google keep changing things

Is google breaking bad with changes?

Because they are Google and they can.
However, they are really setting out to gather a larger degree of user experience and get rid of material that is written badly.

However, this may very well hurt your current blog posts and pages If you are in the doubtful league.

One frightening fact is that a few badly written reports can have all your blogs downgraded and never to come back.
This could really destroy a lot of players. All your work wasted and residing on page 23 or more of a search term.
Do you deserve such treatment or is this really an act of barbarianism by Google?

How will you know what is happening

I?t is the start of September 2022 and the first two weeks will be the Google Killing fields. They will rerate bad content so you will see your traffic figures go down like the Titanic. There will not be a period of wondering, it will hit like a sledgehammer.

AI writers may be in trouble

https://newbusinessonline.net/easy-steps-to-writing-quality-content-for-your-blog-revealed/

Google says that AI writers are just hashing out old material in different ways and there is nothing new in the content.
I recently wrote that my experience with an AI writer had delivered great results and that I achieved many page-one positions using it.

I used the writer as a fill-in writer more than constructing a whole post. Furthermore, I carefully chose my headings so I may escape the wrath of The Big G.
I wrote about a dozen posts in all and then waited to see what would happen and the experience was good. The product was Jasper.ai

The focus is now clearly on the reader's experience

It is no good writing about yourself, no one is interested. It is also useless writing to please the google algorithms as many have done for a long time.
They want to see readers picking up your post and staying on the page.

Is SEO still a viable option

This is an interesting point that time will resolve. Yoast and AIO plugins both rate your writing and SEO content with green pillar boxes of acceptance. But do they matter as much anymore?

Will Google write a better Meta than you can if you don't fill in the appropriate box? Many believe this is so but not I.

Another is Keyphrase length which is generally limited to about six words yet Monster Insights looks for a lot more and Neil Patel goes the whole hog with words.

Furthermore how many times should you drop your keyphrase in a post of about one thousand words?
In the olden days' keyword stuffing was the way to go but now it is limited to one every 300 or so words

Certainly, similar phrases are allowed and other Keywords used will also get searched by Google giving you a double bite at the cherry. However, the answer is to limit your keyphrase because repetition of it is overdoing the situation

The rules were made by Google and interpreted by others

One must realize that Yoast did not just have a bright idea day and list out a sermon that he hoped would work. By studying Google closely and reading what has been said they constructed the list from demands that were necessary to meet the standards.
However, Google is fickle by nature and is prone to changing his/her mind at regular times and the Yoast/AIO rules seem to have remained pretty steady.

We are now writing for people and if that means breaking the rules that Google set will now make it happy so be it. We write for people and to hell with green buttons.

Maybe linking is a bigger issue than we think

This is certainly true. In a recent move, Google demanded we mark all affiliate or payment links as no follow. Because they are trying to rank you on your words they don't want to be traipsing off to money-earning sites. Half the training that you will search for will never tell you this. Why? because they changed the rules didn't they but no one told you.

You click on the sponsored link whenever you might get paid. However, your readers do not see this so use it at will.
The open in a new tab is a handy little insert. When a reader wanders off to your affiliate link and finishes on that page he will be bought back to your page to continue reading.

Pretty clever stuff and just one of the tricky bits that Google comes up with.

One internal link and one external link and maybe one authority link or any number going up from there.

I love linking to my other posts because this creates traffic and I have another blog site that I swap links with as well. I know that Wikipedia is considered an Authority so he gets a bit of attention as well.

You can never tell the whole story in a short work so going off for a more in-depth explanation is only natural and like by google.

Is google breaking bad with changes? Can there be more from the Walter White of confusion

How long must a blog be

Is google breaking bad with changes?

The simple answer is that the only concern Google has is if the question asked is answered. He could not give a Cods Wallet about the number of words.

Yoast traditionally said over 600 words and the common folk law is 1400 is ideal and the longer the better.

Readers however are a fickle bunch as well. Time retarded and skim reading to get to the point they are interested in. They don't want to sit and read for twenty minutes when they can get the same info in two minutes. Give it to them hard and fast.

What is an authority figure

Our friend Google actually has no respect for you unless you are the smartest kid in the room. He wants answers from individuals with high education that have spent half a life learning to read books.

If you are a layman and trying to compete with the intellegencia you are doomed to failure. Well unless you pump up your Bio and bring in support material from experts that back up what you say. This is called research and earns a bit of respect along the way.

This is a real issue for many that take on a niche outside their qualified area. Because it worked for you does not make it right. Dr. Dogood might just disagree and he is a Doctor you understand.
However, if more readers like your answer because it addresses the issue correctly you will in fact gazump The good Dr.
No one said this was easy.

Is Google masculine or feminine

I mostly refer to google as HE but Are occasionally throw in a SHE as well. Certainly, Google is hard to please, when you ask for an answer you may not get the response you want, Mind changes are regular and there are certainly mood swings so I guess I am going for an HER response. Being a white middle-aged male what else could you expect.

But no. Google is a bunch of propeller heads sitting around a board table bigger than the one at the Kremlin trying to find the perfect solution to question solving.
They won't get it right every time and they will make little adjustments along the way but they do try to please the READER. Not you, no never, so think like a reader and not like a writer and just how someone would want their question covered with a simple answer.

Is google breaking bad with changes? Plus what about the competition?

Are Googles competitors taking over his territory

If you thought reading to here was hard now the going gets pretty rocky with doubt and indecision. First of all the Chinese carrier, Baidu thinks a bit like Google and even uses artificial Intelligence to sort out the answers. But most of us can't read Chinese so that is not an issue.
Bing and Yahoo have stuck with traditional methods using exact match Keyword search. They have not got all fancy on us. YET. Is this important?
My traffic on Bing is in fact higher than Google so yes it is important. I need to please both lovers with equal attention when they want different things.

Youtube is a search engine and in fact bigger than Bing and Yahoo combined. So pictures beat words and they follow some tradition in search terms.

Therefore target your market with a foot in all camps and keep your fingers crossed.

Conclusion

Like you I still have some confusion about trying to be the perfect son.
We have to please several masters most of all the readers as we bring our stories to life.

We pose as authority figures and concoct real solutions to nebulous questions often asked by a drunk at a party. Yet we must keep them happy.

Finally, we all understand there is no arguing with Google or other carriers so we just continue to cook our stories and sell them to the masses.

Thanks for reading and enjoy your journey hand in hand with the kingmaker. (Google, not me)
