Why AI sucks at Writing and what you can do about it

Why AI sucks at Writing and what you can do about it. The arrival of Robots that are taking over can be controlled with a few simple ideas.

Is ChatGPT really that bad

Why AI sucks at Writing and what you can do about it

First of all, AI is the future and we all need to use it as an important tool of trade. Programs like ChatGPT have changed the landscape forever and they are a necessary resource for every business.
You can use Chat GPT for research, to come up with ideas and even to write your material but this is where the problem arises.

It is not plagiarism but it is close

We all know we can't copy other people's work and use it for our own. What the robots do is scan all available published material to bring it to a conclusion. This is great because it gives you an idea of what readers are looking for and you can use that to your benefit.

However, Google, the rule maker, wants the best-written solution to any search term. Therefore if the robots are giving everyone similar answers the material is going to end up all looking like each other. Google, or Bing, will select the most human-like answer that is a bit different to the others.

AI is not human, it has no feelings and will tell you what you ask it with presumed facts pulled from prior articles. It is incapable of making things up.

But you can.

Writing must show originality

When there is a torrid battle for the first three spots in any search term you need to be on the ball.
There are so many expert writers that know the rules and will always get a high-ranking position. Therefore your difference may allow you to slot into a high position.

Fighting Domain authority

Every Domain is ranked by Google with a score out of 100. Google looks at several factors including a spam score and the number of backlinks to the site to allocate a position. Therefore out-ranking someone with a score above 50 is going to be difficult.

It was traditionally done with Good Keyword selection but that has changed. Google now looks at user intent and places you in a position based on what they believe the search is for.
To go somewhere, to buy something, to book something or a simple explanation. Once this is sorted they consider the best answer.
If yours is run of the mill you will get ranked below the heavy hitters so you need to be different.

Write with feeling

AI has no feelings, but your readers do so add a personal touch and tell a story that pulls at the heart.
As a blogger, I don't wish to be put out to pasture by a bunch of Robots repeating stuff I could have looked up on Wikipedia. I want to be original and interesting beyond just basic facts that any old tin hat can churn out.

Why AI sucks at Writing and what you can do about it by adding authority

Google demands authority

Authority is showing you know something about the subject and that your opinion can be trusted. Having written well over a thousand blogs and having a big following it could be said I have more authority than a one-time blogger.
If I was to write a health blog. for example, then I need to show where I got my information and what research I had used to form an opinion that was better than a medical Doctor who wrote similar work.
The doctor will be believed before me unless I can outrank him/her by showing relevant background.
Therefore you need to back up your opinions with facts.

It is a position of trust

If you have a history of good work or a name in an industry that people recognise then you will get readers. For instance, Neil Patel is a prolific writer on all things SEO and Keywords. If Neil says it is so, then it is. I trust him because he is the best in the business.
To edge Neil out of the ratings needs a completely different approach. I could say Patel said this but Yoast and AIO SEO both disagree and here is why.
Here I have gathered my own authority to outdo the authority taken and be different enough to draw in readers.

Retaining the readers

This is the next step that is critical to gaining a front-page position. If searches look at your page and move on quickly preferring the work of the robot you will go down the slippery slide. Page time is critical because it proves to Google that you are the one to be believed.

Therefore structure, pictures and good content are very important. You may well attract readers but if they don't hang around you are out of the game

If you get it right it will work

Google named this the E.A.T principle and that is Expertise, Authority and Trust, features that I have laid out above and are critical to your success.

Get it right and we will kick those TinHeads to the back of the class.

Conclusion

Adapting to change is a constant normal in the internet world. Search rules alter to create a better reader experience and the use of AI can help you create much better work and stay at the top of the class. Don't be afraid of change but use it to better your performance in a very competitive world.
Written without help from a Robot.
