The company behind the Backup service
GVO is a company based in Schartz Texas that controls the trading entity Gotbackup.
GVO has been around for over 20 years operating in the health sector, Backup and support, Domain and communications sectors.
They are headed By Joel Therion, a Canadian entrepreneur and his cohort Mike Potvin and have offices in three countries.
USA, India and Ukraine.
They moved to Texas from Canada a few years back and bought a building they could transform into a data centre
GotBackup was established way back in 2017 however it used software that was not up to the job so they wrote their own to overcome the shortfalls.
The move to Texas was one based on Broadband access and price. Canada was slow and expensive whereas Texas offers unlimited quantity and quality. So much so that many support services moved to the area.
GVO entered the market Debt free and with the capability for over a million customers.
