Why does it take so long to get Google indexed? Google and Bing both require that you provide legitimate answers with some Authority
Getting indexed
A page is indexed by Google if it has been visited by the Google crawler (“Googlebot”), analyzed for content and meaning, and stored in the Google index. Indexed pages can be shown in Google Search results (if they follow Google's webmaster guidelines). While most pages are crawled before indexing, Google may also index pages without access to their content (for example, if a page is blocked by a robots.txt directive)

Why is indexing important
Indexing is registering your site as a recognised answer to a Website search, be it on Google Bing or Yahoo.
However, the Engines do vary on how you are found.
First of all, unless you are on page one of a search term your chance of being read is very low and past page three is almost negligible.
You can only get to these elated positions when you are recognised by Google.
However, it does not stop there. Google wants more from you than simply being indexed
The importance of authority
When two people write about a subject Google will look at who is qualified to make the best answer based on Position. If, for example, you wrote on weight loss supplements and a professor of Home Medicine did the same then guess who Google would love most. The most qualified every time.
To combat this bias you must bring in your own authority by quoting other experts and establishing good research procedures. Prof Zen said that
tra la la however the University of Zimbabwe had studies done that changed the parameters and bought forward new evidence.
In the fight for first-page position, every attempt must be made to show that you have the expertise and experience to provide the answer
Google has changed the search parameters
Once upon a time, Google used exact-match Keywords to gather search results but last year they changed that to user intent.
- Do they want to go somewhere?
- Make a booking
- Buy something
- or learn about something.
So Google is looking for intent and will classify the search as such therefore they are not reliant on keyword search to the same degree>
The result is that you need to be very clear about what your blog wants to do to become indexed.
Bing has gone a step further
If I was writing this last week my advice would have been to use exact match keywords but hey the world changes quickly.
Bing has teamed with ChatGPT to search the platform, Chat will guide you to the result you want. This is very new and not available to everyone so it is to watch this space because things will evolve.
I don't think that Bing stands a hope against Google but let's at least give it a chance
You can ask to be indexed on Google
Depending on your software there are plugins that will do the job for you. or you can log into Google Search Consol.
Just choose the Search URL button, choose the post and request indexing. It is not straight away but it will happen.
If you are not indexed you will not be found, a pretty simple idea.
If all else fails then advertise
Yes, pay for a position and get on the first page. Every time anyone clicks on your Ad you pay a fee. However, it is a cost over benefit equation
Make changes to improve results
Regular page changes can move you up the ranking
Wanting to know more
I had great Joy in watching this Google production on search engines
It is quite long but tremendously interesting
Conclusion
It takes several months to be recognised by Google and maybe half a year to gain a first-page position so patience is required.
Do your keyword research
Build your authority
Write good content
Reap the rewards.
